Barnard 211 in Taurus Molecular Cloud
This is a structure in the Taurus Molecular Cloud, about 450 light years away in the Milky Way. It is the closest star nursery to Earth. It is my first dark nebula complex, and I imaged it from the Mojave Desert in California in just one night, while traveling.
The Seagull Nebula - IC2177
This nebula is located between the constellations of Monoceros and Canis Major. The "wings" are over 100 light years across.
Captured from the Mojave Desert on 12/28/2025 in about 1.5 hours before dawn, the "leftover time" from Barnard 211.
Jupiter near opposition January 21, 2026
This is the best image of 6, at 20ms shutter on ASI585MC on the 2800mm C11 with a 2.5 Powermate (5850mm effective FL). It was -15C (about 13F), but no wind.
