2023 Astroimaging
Jupiter February 4, 2024
This is the Great Red Spot transit from Camp Highroad, Virginia. Taken with an identical setup (C11 EdgeHD, ASI294MC, eADC, Baader IR cut filter), but with two different magnification implements - one is GSO Barlow, the other is a TeleVue PowerMate, both at 2.5x.
Jupiter at Opposition 11/3/23
M101 from 2023
Also known as the Pinwheel Galaxy, Messier 101 is 21 million light-years away from Earth in the constellation Ursa Major. It has about a trillion stars, more than the Milky Way.

Mars near opposition December 21, 2022
The structure near center is called Solis Lacus, or the "Eye of Mars".
The Bubble Nebula 2021
The Bubble Nebula lies about 7000-11000 light years from us in the constellation of Cassiopeia. The "bubble" is created by the stellar wind from a massive hot young central star. The nebula is near a giant molecular cloud which contains the expansion of the bubble nebula while itself being excited by the hot central star, causing it to glow. It was discovered in 1787 by William Herschel.
This is from the older QSi 683wsg camera taken Aug-Oct, 2021 with 36 hours total imaging time.

IC63 - the Ghost of Cassiopeia
These are some of the last images I acquired with the QSI690 camera in Oct-Nov, 2021. These are IC59 and IC63 nebulae, nicely described in this Hubble article or this ESA article. The star that illuminates this structure, Gamma Cas, is very interesting - unstable and massive, throwing off huge amounts of energy and mass.
